The original game gives you one puzzle per day; here you can play as many rounds as you like — on your phone, tablet, or computer. Choose anywhere from 4 to 11 letters, race through themed topic packs, or build your own puzzle to challenge friends. Is Wordle Unlimited really free and unlimited?

Yes — every mode is free, with no round limit, no sign-up and nothing to install. Finish a word and the next one is one tap away.

How is this different from the original Wordle?

The original publishes one five-letter puzzle per day for everyone. Wordle Unlimited is an independent, fan-made version without the wait: endless puzzles, word lengths from 4 to 11 letters, 292+ themed topic packs and Wordle in 16 other languages. There's still a shared Daily Challenge if you like the one-a-day ritual.

Can I play more than once a day?

As often as you like. Unlimited mode deals a new word every round, and the six-guess rule stays the same — only the daily wall is gone. Longer words get an extra guess per letter, so an 8-letter game gives you nine tries.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The game runs in any modern browser — phone, tablet or computer — with an on-screen keyboard sized for thumbs. There is no app to download, and a round loads in about a second even on slow connections.

Are my statistics and streaks saved?

Your stats, streaks and topic trophies are saved in your browser automatically — no account needed. You can check them anytime on My Stats, export a backup file, or turn on Google Drive sync in Settings to move progress safely between devices. Either way the data belongs to you; nothing is stored on our servers.

What are topic packs and trophies?

Topic packs are themed word lists — 11 categories covering music, science, sports, geography, food and more. Solve every word in a pack and you earn its trophy. They're a fun way to play around a subject you love, or to learn the vocabulary of one you don't know yet.

What's the best word to start with?

What happened to the original Wordle Unlimited sites?

Several "unlimited" fan versions were hugely popular before Wordle was sold to The New York Times in 2022; most have since shut down or stopped updating. This site is an independent, actively maintained take on the idea — endless play plus modern modes like Quordle, Hangman and multiplayer — not a continuation of any earlier site and not affiliated with the NYT.

Can I practice specific words or replay one?

Unlimited mode deals endless fresh words, and create your own turns any word or list into a shareable puzzle — handy for replaying a word that beat you, drilling vocabulary, or challenging friends.

How do I play today's Wordle Unlimited?

The Daily Challenge publishes one shared word every day — everyone gets the same answer, so grids are comparable. It resets at midnight local time, and your streak grows with every consecutive daily you solve.

What's a good score — how do other players do?

Across all modes last week, players solved 79% of the 550 recorded games, averaging 3.9 guesses per solve — so anything in four or fewer is a good day. The numbers update every week in the public player report. See the weekly player report →
