Xordle Daily
Two secret words a day, one tangled board. Untangle them in nine guesses.
What is Xordle Daily?
Xordle hides two five-letter words in a single board - and the two words never share a letter. This page carries the shared daily pair: the same two answers for everyone, once per day, with a calendar streak for finding both. Every guess is scored against both answers at once, and each tile shows the best result: green if that letter sits in that position in either word, yellow if it appears anywhere in either word, grey if it is in neither.
Guess a word exactly and it is revealed in the slot above the board; every row after that scores only against the remaining word. Name both inside nine rows and your streak grows. The daily pair is chosen so it never spoils the answer of our classic Daily Challenge.
How to play
- Type any valid five-letter word and press Enter.
- Read the combined clues: green and yellow tiles may belong to either hidden word.
- Remember the golden rule - the two answers share no letters.
- Guess a word exactly to reveal it; later rows score only against the other word.
- Name both words within nine rows to keep your streak alive.
Frequently asked questions
When does the daily pair reset?
At midnight in your local timezone. After you finish, the result panel counts down to the next pair, and the Today's puzzles strip shows which dailies you have completed.
Can the two words share a letter?
Never - that is the defining Xordle rule. Ten distinct letters are always in play across the two answers, which is exactly what makes clue attribution solvable.
Can I keep playing after today's pair?
Yes - Xordle Unlimited deals a fresh pair whenever you want, with its own records and no daily limit.
Is this the official Xordle?
No - Xordle was created by K & R Garfield; this is an independent, fan-made daily version with its own word list, built for Wordle Unlimited and not affiliated with the original or The New York Times.
