How to play Star Battle

  1. Place exactly the indicated number of stars in every row, column and outlined region.
  2. Stars must never touch, horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
  3. Tap to cycle blank, star and exclusion. Choose a marking mode for faster touch input.

The small numbers identify regions. Exclusions are notes; only star positions decide a win. Hints explain a forced next mark and highlight its cell.

How to play today's Star Battle

Every row, column and thickly outlined region needs exactly the number of stars shown above the board. No pair of stars may touch, even diagonally. A cross marks a cell you have ruled out.

A fresh puzzle at local midnight

Each date has one fixed 6×6 board with a single star per row, column and region. Your progress and timer survive a refresh. A finished board stays finished for the rest of its day.

Find your next step

A star excludes all eight cells around it. When a row, column or region has enough stars, exclude its remaining cells. Compare the remaining ways to fit stars into crossing regions. Each original board has a unique answer and a verified deduction path.
