Guess the hidden five-letter word in six tries. Green tiles are correct and in the right place, yellow tiles belong elsewhere in the word, and grey tiles are absent. Finish a round and choose New word to play again immediately — there is no daily limit.
This edition uses a British-compatible answer pool, including words such as FIBRE, LITRE, METRE, LORRY, MATHS and SCONE. Neutral spellings shared across English remain in the game too. If you enter a recognised American spelling, it still receives normal colour feedback; it simply will not be chosen as this version's hidden answer.

Not every spelling pair has five letters, which is why Wordle UK now supports every length from 4 to 11 rather than only swapping a handful of five-letter suffixes.
