What is Duotrigordle?

Duotrigordle is the summit of the multi-board mountain: thirty-two hidden five-letter words solved with thirty-seven shared guesses. Every word you type is scored against all thirty-two boards at the same time. The name is cod-Latin for thirty-two (duo-triginta), and finishing one is genuinely a badge of honor — a perfect game leaves you just five guesses of slack across the entire wall.

At this scale the game changes character completely. With thirty-two answers in play, almost every letter of the alphabet is on the wall somewhere, so raw letter discovery stops mattering after a few guesses — what matters is position information and rigorous bookkeeping. This unlimited edition deals a new set of thirty-two whenever you like, so a botched endgame costs you a retry, not a day.

How to play Duotrigordle

  1. Type a valid five-letter word — it lands on all thirty-two boards at once.
  2. Green is correct-in-place, yellow is in-the-word-elsewhere, grey is absent — per board.
  3. Solved boards freeze and dim; their header shows the row they fell on.
  4. The keyboard stays pinned to the bottom of the screen while you scroll the wall.
  5. Clear all thirty-two boards on or before row thirty-seven.

Surviving thirty-two boards

Duotrigordle rewards a fixed routine. Spend your first five guesses on a rehearsed high-coverage opening set — the same five words every game — so twenty-five distinct letters are scored everywhere before you make a single decision. Then work in passes: sweep the wall in reading order, solve every board whose answer is forced, skip anything ambiguous, and repeat. Each solve re-scores a full word against every remaining board, so momentum compounds — the last ten boards usually fall faster than the middle ten.

The classic failure mode is spending two rows on one stubborn board while three solvable boards wait below it. When a pattern has multiple candidates, mark it mentally and move on; the answer is usually settled for free a few solves later. Build the passes habit on Sedecordle's sixteen boards first if the wall feels overwhelming — the routine is identical, the scale is half.

Frequently asked questions

How many guesses do you get in Duotrigordle?

Thirty-seven shared guesses for thirty-two words — thirty-two solving guesses plus five spare rows. Guess efficiency, not vocabulary, is what runs out.

How long does a round take?

A focused round typically takes fifteen to twenty-five minutes. Your unfinished round is saved on every keystroke, so you can close the tab and pick the same wall up later.

Is this the official Duotrigordle?

No — this is an independent, fan-made thirty-two-board game built for Wordle Unlimited, not affiliated with duotrigordle.com, The New York Times, or any other publisher.

Are Duotrigordle stats tracked separately?

Yes — wins, streaks and guess distribution for the thirty-two-board game are recorded on their own, never mixed with your Dordle, Quordle, Octordle or Sedecordle records. See them all side by side on My Stats.
