How to play Blossom Unlimited
- Play the shared classic 6-petal Daily flower, or choose 6, 8 or 10 petals in Unlimited.
- Type or tap a word of at least four letters using only the flower.
- Include the centre letter in every word. You may reuse letters.
- Plant twelve different words to finish the garden.
- Use the gold-outlined letter as often as you can - each occurrence adds 5 points.
A garden you can actually read
The miniature flowers are more than decoration. Every outer position owns one colour, and each accepted word lights precisely the positions it used. The bonus glow belongs only to the current input flower; finished garden flowers stay visually clean. Garden Studio combines the palette, individual petal, centre, tint and background controls after it is unlocked. Changes save automatically in this browser and survive a refresh. If you shuffle the large flower, the whole garden remaps to the new positions together, so the visual language always stays consistent.
Complete Daily on any three different dates to unlock Garden Studio - no login streak is required. The Studio adds clean paper, morning meadow, glasshouse, sunset, moon and rainy-conservatory backgrounds, plus a Surprise me button that creates a coordinated flower and setting. Once earned, the unlock is permanent in this browser.
On a wide screen the word builder and garden sit side by side. On phones they stack into one thumb-friendly column, with the flower kept large enough to tap and all twelve pots visible in a compact three-column garden.
Scoring and expanded flowers
Four-letter words are worth 2 points, five-letter words 4, six-letter words 6 and seven-letter words 12. From eight letters onward, every extra letter adds 3. The current bonus petal adds 5 for every occurrence of its letter. A Full Bloom - any word using seven distinct flower letters - adds another 7 points.
Daily always uses the classic six-petal flower. Unlimited’s 8- and 10-petal variants widen the available vocabulary without changing the twelve-turn rhythm. Every outer letter receives a bonus turn before the sequence repeats, while Full Bloom still requires seven distinct letters. Daily gives each date its own fixed, resumable classic garden.
A stable word-game dictionary
Blossom uses the pinned SCOWL/ESDB 2026.02.25 word-game list at size 80. It is deliberately broader than the site’s standard spell-checking dictionary, covering valid uncommon words without depending on a remote list that can silently change between sessions.

How do you play Blossom Unlimited?

How does Blossom scoring work?
Four-letter words score 2 points, five score 4, six score 6, seven score 12, and every letter after seven adds 3. Each occurrence of the current gold bonus letter adds 5, while a word using seven distinct flower letters earns a 7-point Full Bloom bonus.
What do the coloured petals in the garden mean?
Each outer position has its own colour. After a word is accepted, its miniature flower colours exactly the petal positions whose letters appear in that word. The bonus glow stays on the input flower and is not carried into the finished garden flower.
What changes in the 8 and 10 petal modes?
The required centre letter and twelve-word round stay the same, but the larger flowers offer more distinct letters. The bonus visits every outer letter before repeating, and Full Bloom remains achievable by requiring seven distinct letters.
How does Blossom Daily work?
Daily gives everyone one fixed classic 6-petal puzzle for each local calendar day. Expanded 8- and 10-petal flowers are exclusive to Unlimited, and your Daily garden is saved separately.
How do I unlock Garden Studio?
Complete Blossom Daily on any three different days. The days do not need to be consecutive. Until then the garden stays undecorated and colors cannot be changed; once unlocked, every appearance control stays available in this browser.
Does Blossom Unlimited save my garden?
Yes. Daily and every Unlimited flower size keep separate in-progress gardens in your browser. Flower colors, centre color, garden tint and background are also saved automatically and remain after refresh.
